Discovery Innovates with First Live, On-Air Social Media Event

Social media quickly became a strong complement to the TV viewing experience and, in April 2011, Discovery Communications continued to innovate by bringing the real-time social content to television - reflecting its audience on air and rewarding superfans.

The first event featured fan Tweets and since then Discovery's networks have produced hundreds of hours of live, on-air social media events integrating content in new and exciting ways.
