Planet Earth Premieres, Nabs Distinction of Cable's Highest-Rated Natural History Program

More than five years in the making, Planet Earth redefined blue-chip natural history filmmaking and the world was engrossed as the 11-part series showcased never-before-seen animal behavior and startling views of locations captured by cameras for the first time.

Planet Earth became cable's highest-rated natural history program, attracting 65 million U.S. viewers and winning multiple Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Nonfiction Series.
